For as long as I can remember I have had a passion for agriculture and cultivating food that is delicious.
My earliest memories are of summer days spent with my Grandmother spent at farmers markets,planting, growing, and finally eating.
Born in a small town in Indiana there were few distractions, the library and community pool were my resources.
When I turned 13, I moved to San Francisco…and attended a school whose population was greater than the town I was born. Fortunately the cultural and sense of community was not that different. Real! San Franscico in 1973 although diverse in opinions it seemed to have a focus on people and health that was familiar.
At 16 I remeber sitting at the dinner table reflected to my Father (the CPA) that eating healthy was a good investment. My comment received an appropriate chuckle. 30 years later my observations are being proven out.
Recognizing the role each of us plays in our own health and wellbeing has become my passion. Teaching how much fun there is in leading life simply and naturally is living a dream come true.
